Academic profile

My academic path has taken me from modern French and comparative literature in Paris to doctoral research on Francophone Caribbean writing and critical theory at Indiana University Bloomington. Alongside my research, I have taught seventeen undergraduate sections, from beginning French to advanced literature, and contributed to editorial projects and public conversations about Caribbean literature and culture. Elected to represent graduate students and develop departmental programming.
Co-organized the Graduate Student Professionalization Workshop and "Patterns and Singularities," an interdisciplinary conference that brought together twenty-two presenters from six institutions.

Union Representative, Indiana Graduate Workers Coalition–United Electrical Workers · 2021–present

Organize departmental participation in graduate labor initiatives and contributed to collective campaigns that secured substantial stipend increases and continuing cost-of-living adjustments for graduate workers.

Led a public question-and-answer session entirely in Haitian Creole and supported outreach connecting students with Haitian language, culture, and Caribbean Studies initiatives.
